Cancellation Indoor Lowland Championships in 2020!

In consultation with the SnowWorld Landgraaf location, the Dutch Ski Association has decided not to organize the Indoor Lowland Championships on Dutch soil in 2020. Since the corona virus is still spreading, the Dutch Ski Association and SnowWorld do not consider it justified to bring athletes, their entourage and organizers from different countries together in SnowWorld.

Quarantine advice makes travelling more difficult for the participants
There is currently a quarantine advice from the national government for anyone coming to the Netherlands from areas with an orange travel advice. All participants from the affected areas are urged to go into quarantine for 10 days before rejoining other people. Although this quarantine advice is not mandatory, the Dutch Ski Association expects everyone to whom this advice applies to actually go into quarantine for 10 days. Following this advice presents great difficulties for international sporting events. This will make it more difficult to participate in our competitions for (inter) national athletes from areas with an orange travel advice. In the current situation, this is a reason for the Dutch Ski Association not to host the Indoor Lowland Championships and thus not to encourage international travelling.

In concrete terms, this decision means that the next edition of the Indoor Lowland Championships on 26th and 27th September in SnowWorld Landgraaf will be canceled.

Training possibilities in SnowWorld Landgraaf
However SnowWorld Landgraaf still offers international athletes the possibility to train on the snow in Landgraaf. For more information about the training possibilities, please contact
